The space is nice. The service is very good. Adequate wine selection and local craft beers.
We ordered Pork and Vegetable Pot Stickers – with sweet Thai-chili sauce 4.5/5 (solid dumpling, excellent sauce), Spicy Pork Belly flatbread 3/5 (not spicy), Hawaiian BBQ flatbread 3/5, and Triple Gear pizza 4.5/5.
I went to The Starving Rooster yesterday for the first time after hearing that they have the best pizza in Minot.
THEY. DID. NOT. LIE.
The pizza is ✨AMAZING!!!✨Amazing. Did I say amazing? Because I mean AMAZZZZING. I ordered 6 different pizzas and each one was delicious I have lived in major metropolitan areas and eaten my fair share of pizza and out of all the places I’ve been this is definitely one of, if not my new favorite and by far the best place for pizza in Minot. I had a piece in my car, and when I got home I had a piece at room temperature and today I took the advice from what I’m assuming was the owner.. (She even took the time to tell me how to reheat it since I live out of town). Although, it was even great cold! The crust was crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Lots of toppings and huge chunks of sausage and slightly crisp veggies and look at that cheese pull!! The staff seemed very friendly and attentive to their customers that were dining in. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and chic looking.
I can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes. They definitely have a new loyal customer.
Update: I’ve been back a couple other times and tried the other pizza… still amazing! 🌟 (added a couple new photos)
Don't get the stroganoff!
The place was nice, service fast and friendly. Got my unsweetened iced tea right away. Caesar salad was good, with crunchy croutons and parmesan cheese.
But the "prime rib stroganoff" was awful. A big stuck-together mass of noodles and postage stamp size pieces of beef, some of which were unchewable. There was no sauce and no taste. I ate 3 or 4 bites before I gave up. It seemed like mediocre leftovers that had been microwaved.
The server gave me 10% off when I told her that it wasn't very good.
A great disappointment.
Great selection of beers on tap and very friendly/knowledgable staff. The one time we ate here for breakfast my husband and I did both get sick. However we will try it out one more time for dinner as the atmosphere is so nice.

Great time, good food! I had the gluten-free crust, and it was one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've ever had!
